Canada Day 2024

New for 2023: The Teulon Canada Day Committee is a newly established committee of the Green Acres Art Centre.

The committee is made up of a group of community volunteers. The volunteers come together to plan, organize and host a Free Canada Day for the residents of Teulon and surrounding areas.

The celebration’s activities will be for ALL ages and interests. All activities are FREE.

Funding for the 2024 Event

Monetary and prize donations from businesses and individuals to contribute to the event or silent auction are appreciated.

Volunteers Needed

We’re looking for adult and youth volunteers to assist with Canada Day activities.

The more volunteers we have the more fun activities we can offer so your time really makes a difference!

Concert in the Park

Join us for a concert in the park on the Green Acres park outdoor stage! Our talented local musicians are coming together to bring some all-ages fun and entertainment leading up to the Canada Day fireworks.

Fireworks

Fireworks will be held Sunday, June 30th, 2024 at dusk in the Green Acres Park.

Come early for the best seating!

Perogy & Garlic Sausage Dinner

Plate includes perogies, garlic sausage, pickle, ice cream cup & canned drink.

Teulon Canada Day – July 1st Schedule

Canada Day Events

Join us in the Green Acres Park for Teulon Canada Day celebrations! Bring the family –  activities for all ages run from 11:00am – 3:00pm and entertainment and the Lion’s Canteen will run until 4:00pm.

The Canada Day celebration will kick off at 11:00am with Opening Ceremonies at the stage.

Stage Entertainment

Entertainment will be running all day long at the stage in the Green Acres Park.

12:00pm – 4:00pm: Entertainment from the Country Pride Band

Thoughout the Day: Performances from GAAC Spring Dancers & Teulon Veselka Ukrainian Dancers

Homemade Carnival Games & Art Activities

There will be a variety of fun activities for families with kids ages 2-17 throughout the park.

Win some prizes at our homemade carnival games, get creative with art activities under the gazebo, or check out some of the other fun family friendly games.

The carnival games will run from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Outdoor Games in Diamonds

We’ll have some fun outdoor games set up in the baseball diamonds that are perfect for families, youth, and adults to check out and enjoy.

Inflatables

Kids will enjoy bouncing and playing in our inflatables set up this year at Canada Day.

Arena Activities July 1st

FREE – Drop In from 11:00am – 3:00pm.

Community Organizations at Canada Day

Teulon & District Museum

Step out of the sun and explore our local museum, also located right in the Green Acres Park.

The Teulon Museum will be open for visiting from 12:00pm to 4:00pm on Canada.

Museum Tours are no charge compliments of the Teulon Canada Day Committee.

Teulon Veselka & the Teulon Museum are celebrating 50 years of being organizations this year!

Teulon & District HandiVan

The HandiVan will be aviable on Canada Day to transfer people to and from the park.

There will be no fees for this service – complimentary of the Canada Day Committee.

Fire Trucks

Kids (and kids at heart) will be able to inspect some firetrucks thanks to our local fire department.

Come check them out in the Green Acres Park from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.

    Seating

    Seating is limited. Bringing your own lawn chairs or blankets is strongly encourage.

    Picnic tables and bleachers will be set up for seating to view stage shows or rest.

    Free Parking

    To ensure everyone’s safety parking near the park is limited. No parking is allowed in the stage area and Green Acres Park gates will be closed. 

     Parking is available at the:

    • Arena

    2 golf shuttles will be available for transporting people to the stage area.

    Food

    Park Canteen: The Lions Club will be open on June 30th during the concert and July 1st for Canada Day.

    Alcohol is not permitted at the Green Acres Park. No alcohol is being served at Canada Day Committee run events.

    Cold water, pop, juice, etc. is available from the park canteen.
